Acer called dibs on Ferrari branding for the premium laptops, so what does Asus do? Needless to say, they sign a deal with the second-coolest Italian sports car manufacturer.
The 15.6-inch Lamborghini VX7 is the latest addition to this lineup. It’s basically a glorified G53, with a nice-looking Lamborghini logo on an orange (or carbon fiber) lid and leather across the palm rest.
It’s apparently inspired by the Murcielago LP640 Roadster, so if you happen to own one of those this laptop is a given.
The hardware aspires to match the famed sports car in performance. Under the hood hums a quad-core Intel Core i7 2630QM (Sandy Bridge). Also included are dual hard drives providing 1.5TB of storage, 16GB of RAM, USB 3, a Blu-ray drive and last but not least an Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M GPU with no less than 3GB of video RAM. The 15.6-inch screen is an LED backlit variant with 1920×1080 resolution.
It should be available in stores soon for about $2,300.
