Gaming Laptop Report was founded in 2009, originally on the domain bestgaminglaptop.net, at a time when gaming laptops were still relatively rare. There were perhaps good reasons for this since they were all bulky and annoyingly hot, running on Intel Core 2 Duo processors and Nvidia GTX 200 series or Radeon 4000 series GPUs. Nevertheless, these high-end laptops did exist and were incredibly fascinating, but not extensively covered by the usual tech sites and magazines.
Little by little, gaming laptops have become leaner and meaner – and a lot more mainstream. This process is ongoing, but thanks to more efficient technology there is no question that high-end gaming in a portable form factor is here to stay.
That brings us to this website, which is still dedicated to covering all manner of portable machines at the top end of the performance spectrum. The company, Fulltext Media AB, and people behind the site remain the same as when it started out. We are still dedicated to providing the most accurate and trustworthy information about gaming laptops that you’ll find online. We have never been affiliated with any specific manufacturer.
In order to provide the best possible content to our readers, we strive to monetize our content as efficiently as possible without sacrificing our impartiality. You will see some ads in our articles and we also participate in various affiliate programs. The latter means that product/retailer links will allow us to earn a small commission on qualifying sales from trusted PC hardware retailers when our readers shop via these links. This will be the case regardless of what products we link to and as such has no bearing on what products we choose to recommend, if any. Our editorial policy in a nutshell is to never recommend products we wouldn’t consider buying ourselves.
